Julie Kidd, DVM
Julie Kidd was born and raised in Colorado. She attended Colorado State University where she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science in 1999 and her DVM in 2004. After she graduated with her DVM she stayed at CSU where she studied epidemiology, the study of herd health. Her focus was in adult dairy cow mortality and Johnes Disease. After leaving CSU she worked in a small animal emergency hospital in Denver, then a small animal general practise in Eaton, Colorado. Julie started Platte Valley Veterinary Services, a mobile veterinary clinic in 2010. Wanting to offer more to her clients and be closer to home she opened Platte Valley Veterinary in Severance in 2015.
She is married to another Colorado native, Andy. They have two children, Dalton and Raeleigh.
They live in Eaton with their dogs, Sassy, and Bo along with several farm animals. Julie enjoys the outdoors, wildlife photography and bowling with her family.
She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Megan Smith
Megan came to us in 2017 and has been a great asset to the clinic. She was born and raised in Colorado and currently lives here with her husband, Charlie, her kids, four dogs, two cats and a snake. She enjoys time with her family, painting and fostering dogs.
